Nails polishes used: Pop-Arazzi “Shell Me More” (light blue/green), Sally Hansen “Gilded Lily” (gold glitter), Sinful Colors Nail Art “Bad Chick” (white)
I decided to use the Pop-Arazzi polish “Shell Me More” for the first time as a base coat. It is a pretty pale blue/green. It’s pulling more blue in the picture but it is definitely a blue-ish green. I then took two small pieces of tape and crossed them to make a V shape, and used this to create a triangle shape on each nail using gold glitter shade “Gilded Lily” by Sally Hansen. To make the triangle shape look more precise, I outlined them using a white nail art polish by Sinful Colors called “Bad Chick”.
More thoughts on “Shell Me More”: The formula on this one was ok-a bit on the thick side, and the first coat goes on a bit streaky. A second coat and its fully opaque and even-looking. It’s a lovely color, but the wear on this particular shade is not so good. It’s only been two days since I applied it and I can see the polish cracking underneath my topcoat. No bueno! 😦 For reference, I used the Revlon Colorstay Base Coat and NYC Grand Central Station topcoat.
Pop-Arazzi nail polishes are sold at CVS for $2.99. See this post for my thoughts on two more of their polishes.
Thanks for reading! Happy Wednesday-we are halfway closer to the weekend!
